Garrett is co-owner of People First Communications with his wife (a fellow Coug), a small family business dedicated to amplifying the impact of nonprofits addressing homelessness through storytelling and sustainable fundraising — together they have helped raise over $3 million for life-changing missions. Garrett’s Murrow College experience, role as Student Body Vice President, and participation in backpack journalism trips to Cuba and Guatemala, shaped him into the communicator and leader he is today. After graduating from WSU in 2018, Garrett earned his Master’s in Politics and Communication from the London School of Economics. Remaining open to possibilities and having the courage to forge his own path has allowed Garrett to build a values-centered career that combines his skills with his passion for ensuring people’s basic human needs are met.
