Sherry’s Murrow degree laid the foundation for a four-decade career in broadcast journalism and corporate communications. She spent nearly a decade as a journalist at KIRO-TV in Seattle before transitioning to The Boeing Company, where she held a variety of leadership positions. Her roles included executive communications, global media relations, crisis management, advertising, branding, and corporate public relations. A passionate advocate for the next generation of communication professionals, Sherry has served on the Murrow Professional Advisory Board for more than 20 years, including two years as board chair, and has mentored numerous Murrow students. She is the proud wife of a fellow Cougar graduate and the mother of a 2012 Washington State University alum.
