Paul Barrett has been The Seattle Times sports editor since 2016 and on staff there since 2015. Paul started his first full-time newspaper job in 1989 as a reporter at the Moscow-Pullman Daily News, while a student at WSU. Since then he’s worked at daily newspapers in various areas of the country as a reporter, editor, page designer and manager, including stints at The Arizona Republic and Miami Herald. In June Paul will become President of the Associated Press Sports Editors, the country’s most important and most prestigious sports journalism organization.
