Ryan Risenmay leads institutional communications and a unique science communication training program for Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He helps researchers create and deliver compelling stories of their scientific work and technology innovations. Before joining PNNL, Ryan was a Clinical Professor at the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, and he continues to teach digital engagement and public relations principles as an instructor through WSU’s Global Campus. He also worked as a marketing-communications advisor and practitioner for Microsoft and start-up companies for over 20 years, managing media relations, web portals, digital communities, and building connections through storytelling and engagement strategies.
