Melinda O’Malley Keckler

Melinda O’Malley Keckler is the director of marketing at Boise State University. She manages the strategy, planning, development and implementation of top-level marketing initiatives to support and promote the Boise State University brand through national, regional and local outreach, she also works with divisions and departments across campus to help them reach their specific needs within the university’s overall marketing strategy. Since graduating from WSU in 1990, her career has evolved from broadcasting, communications, public relations to now include marketing. Prior to arriving at Boise State in 2008, she held the position of strategic communications manager in a Boise public relations agency and was the spokesperson and public information officer for an Idaho state agency. Prior to that, for 15 years she was a broadcast journalist at televisions stations in Spokane and Boise working as an anchor, reporter and executive producer. Melinda has a BA in communications from Washington State University, she’s married (27 years!) and a mom to two great kids – she’s also an aspiring food blogger who is always looking for ways to reinvent herself.
