Chris Jose

Emmy award winner Chris Jose reports nightly for NBC New York.

Chris has reported on some of the nation’s biggest stories including the cold-blooded midtown Manhattan murder of a healthcare CEO, the racist-fueled Buffalo supermarket massacre, and the mid-air collision of an American Airlines jet with an Army Black Hawk helicopter over the Potomac River.

On top of his nightly reports in New York City, Chris notably traveled to Nashville to lead WNBC’s coverage of a mass shooting that killed six at the Covenant School. He also traveled to Tampa for Hurricane Milton and brought live coverage of the storm as it made landfall, and the recovery following its aftermath.

Chris – an avid sports fan – has covered multiple World Series games for the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees, a college football National Championship, and two Super Bowls.

Before moving to New York City, Chris worked at Atlanta powerhouse WSB-TV. He also anchored and reported for TV stations in Dallas, Denver, Cedar Rapids and Cheyenne. Throughout his career, Chris has contributed several national live reports for NBC News and Fox News Channel.

Chris graduated from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University with a degree in broadcast journalism.
