Rebecca Cooney is a distinguished professor of strategic communication at Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. With more than 30 years of experience, she specializes in the intersection of digital engagement and public health. In addition to her faculty and assessment leadership, Professor Cooney serves as a co-investigator and communications lead for the Resource Center for Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research (R3CR). She also supports communication strategy for the Inland Northwest Human Research Clinic (INWHRC) and instructional design for the NIH-funded initiative – Beyond the High. A certified learning experience designer (LXD) and former Director of Murrow Online Programs, she helps organizations leverage technology to craft respectful, effective communication strategies.
