Marvin Marcelo is an associate professor of practice with Murrow College. Marvin has worked in the television industry for more than thirty years and directed and produced many news and entertainment programs which have won local, regional, and national awards. He started in the newsroom as a teleprompter operator working his way up the ladder to general manager.
Marvin teaches video production courses for the Edward Murrow College of Communication and is the advisor for the student-run TV station, Cable 8 Productions. Additionally, he was the former director of the Murrow Symposium and helped bring in well-known journalists such as Peter Jennings, Don Hewitt, Bob Schieffer, Helen Thomas, David Fanning, and Tom Brokaw.
