Cable 8—and specifically its flagship program Live at Eight—played a major role in Scott’s education and success at WSU and the Murrow College of Communication. Through the production of 130 episodes of the half‑hour sketch comedy show, he honed his skills as a writer, producer, and performer, contributing to a series that earned national acclaim and a College Emmy. After graduating from WSU, he moved to Los Angeles, where he founded his own production company and went on to create and executive produce Scare Tactics—hosted by Tracy Morgan—which ran for seven seasons and 129 episodes on Syfy and USA Network, including a recent reboot produced by Jordan Peele. He also served as executive producer, showrunner, and creator of Howie Do It with Howie Mandel and Off Their Rockers with Betty White, both for NBC.
