Erick Bengel is a Murrow News Fellow covering rural communities for the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin. An Oregon native, he worked in reporter and editor roles for the EO Media Group in northern and southern Oregon. He initially interned at the EO through the University of Oregon’s Charles Snowden Program for Excellence in Journalism.
