Paul Casey

Paul E. Casey (’75) is the creator of Voices of Experience (VOE), which began as a newspaper and evolved into a weekly radio show and podcast. After nearly a decade in the public and private sectors, Paul pursued entrepreneurship, founding Casey Communications Inc. in 1988.

In 2004, Paul authored Is Self-Employment for You?, a book for aspiring entrepreneurs, which was updated and republished in 2017. A proud alumnus of Washington State University, Paul earned a BA in Political Science and served as a two-term student body president. He remains deeply connected to his alma mater as a member and former chair of the Murrow Professional Advisory Board.

Reflecting on the legacy of Edward R. Murrow, Paul shares, “Although I didn’t major in communications, I have always admired Murrow’s profound influence on journalism and our nation. Receiving this recognition is a humbling honor.” Among his favorite Murrow quotes is: “To be persuasive, we must be believable; to be believable, we must be credible; to be credible, we must be truthful.”

Paul and his wife, Marti, reside in West Seattle, where they continue to give back to their community.
